D1 ENVIRONMENT

The training at TIER ONE Performance is modeled after D1 and professional weight rooms. Our programs are coach led, challenging, and intentionally designed to develop speed, strength, and athleticism. Every coach at Tier One has real experience training or coaching in competitive performance environments. The structure, energy, camaraderie,  and accountability that is built in those environemtns is what we fell in love with and what TIER ONE was designed after

Our 3 Pillars

Movement

Develop the ability to move efficiently and confidently in space. We train athletes to accelerate, decelerate, change direction, and get up and down from the ground with control and intent. Movement quality is the foundation of performance and longevity.

Speed and Plyometrics

Improve explosiveness, reactivity, and the ability to produce force quickly. Through sprinting and plyometric training, athletes learn to apply strength at high speeds, improving game speed while reducing unnecessary wear and tear.

Strength

Build muscle, increase resiliency, and develop the strength needed to support high intensity movement. Our strength training focuses on durability, power, and long term athletic development so athletes can stay healthy and perform at a high level.

Leave Nothing to Chance

Let’s be honest. Random workouts lead to random results. At TIER ONE , nothing is left to chance. Every training session is part of a larger plan, built weeks in advance to ensure what you do today supports what you do tomorrow. With a clear and intentional training system, you are always moving forward with purpose toward your performance and wellness goals.

Why TIER ONE Training Works

At TIER ONE, our programming is built around these principles to ensure progress is intentional, measurable, and sustainable.

Specificity

Training must match the goal. Exercises and loading strategies are selected to meet the exact physical demands of performance, not random movement for the sake of sweating. If you want to improve a specific quality, your training must reflect that.

Progressive Overload

The body adapts only when it is challenged beyond what it is used to. Our programs are designed to apply the right amount of stress over time by increasing load, volume, or intensity so progress does not stall.

Progression

Progress does not happen by repeating the same workouts indefinitely. Training must evolve. We systematically advance exercises and training demands to prevent plateaus and continue driving results.

Individualization

No two bodies adapt the same way. While athletes may follow the same structure, training is adjusted based on age, training history, movement quality, and recovery capacity to maximize results and reduce injury risk.

Reversibility

Adaptations are earned through consistency. When training stops, progress fades. Our system emphasizes regular, structured training to maintain strength, speed, and athletic capacity year round.

Diminishing Returns

Early progress comes fast. Long term progress requires smarter planning. As adaptation slows, program design becomes more strategic to continue development while respecting recovery and longevity.

Support Day In and Day Out

Even the best training program is only one part of the equation. Reaching your goals depends on more than what happens during a workout. That is why every member at TIER ONE meets regularly with a coach to revisit goals, assess progress, and identify factors outside the gym that may be influencing results.

Hydration, sleep, nutrition, and daily habits all play a role in performance and recovery. When these areas are not managed properly, progress can stall no matter how well the training is designed. Our coaches help you stay accountable, make meaningful adjustments, and stay on track so your effort in the gym carries over to real results.

Train TOGETHER

Training in a large group environment elevates every individual. Training alongside others creates natural competition and accountability, pushing individuals to work harder than they would on their own.

The energy and structure of these sessions raise the standard of effort across the room. Athletes feed off one another, push for one more rep, and leave with a shared sense of accomplishment built through hard work and consistency.

You Can't Improve What You Don't Measure

We leave nothing to chance. At TIER ONE, training decisions are guided by real data, not guesswork. From bar speed tracking and load selection to jump measurements and laser timed sprint data, we measure what matters to ensure progress is happening week after week.

This is not about before and after photos. If progress slows, we identify it early and make the necessary adjustments to keep you moving in the right direction. Every session builds on the last, with clear feedback and objective benchmarks driving the process.

Better Every Day

Everyone starts somewhere. Progress in training depends on meeting people where they are and building from there, yet this is often overlooked in fast paced, one size fits all training systems. At TIER ONE, every session is part of a structured plan designed to progress from week to week.

Starting in the middle of a training cycle is never an issue. With every session coached directly, training is scaled to your current ability, experience, and readiness. You enter at the right level, build momentum over time, and progress with purpose.

Description Title

Movement Prep

Each session begins with focused movement prep to prime the body for training. By warming up the joints and reinforcing proper patterns, athletes can move more efficiently, reduce risk of injury, and get more out of every session.

Performance Skills

This block targets the qualities that matter most for athletic performance: speed, acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, lateral movement, vertical jump, and landing mechanics. Each session is designed to challenge athletes while reinforcing proper technique, ensuring they move powerfully and efficiently.

Strength

Strength is essential for all athletes, but everyone has unique needs. We apply principles like specificity and individualization to scale training to each athlete. Combined with progression, this approach helps athletes build strength safely, effectively, and at the right pace without unnecessary strain or risk.

  • What is Performance Training and why does TIER ONE specialize in it?

Performance training is the combination of athletic development and strength training.

At TIER ONE, it is not just about lifting weights or running faster, it is about building the complete athlete. Our programs combine science-based methods with years of coaching experience to maximize speed, agility, power, and strength so athletes can perform at their highest level.

    Speed Development

Speed is developed through mechanics, acceleration drills, resisted sprints, and top-end velocity work. Athletes learn how to apply force efficiently so they can move faster and more explosively on the field or court.

    Agility and Change of Direction

Agility training focuses on moving quickly and under control. Athletes learn to stop, cut, and re-accelerate effectively, improving reaction time and overall on-field quickness.

    Plyometrics and Jump Training

Plyometrics build explosive power. Through jump variations and bounding progressions, athletes improve their ability to generate force quickly, enhancing vertical jump, first-step quickness, and overall athletic performance.

    Strength Training

Strength is the foundation for all athletic qualities. Using a progression-based system, we help athletes build resilient, powerful bodies. From foundational lifts to athlete-specific accessory work, our strength training increases power, supports durability, and reduces the risk of injury so athletes can perform at their best year-round.

  • What's the difference between independent group training and big group training?

    Big Group Training

In big group sessions, athletes move together through the same workouts and program at the same pace, similar to how a team operates in a weight room. Everyone follows the same plan, fostering energy, competition, and camaraderie. These sessions accommodate up to 12 athletes per time slot.

    Independent Group Training

Independent group sessions are smaller, with a maximum of 4 athletes per time slot. Programming is tailored to each athlete’s specific needs, goals, and abilities, allowing for more individualized coaching and targeted development while still benefiting from a small group environment.

  • How do we get the workouts?

All TIER ONE programs are delivered through TeamBuildr, a simple and easy-to-use app. Athletes can access every workout, whether training inside the gym or on their own, ensuring consistency and progress no matter where they are.

  • How do I schedule my workouts?

Scheduling at TIER ONE is simple. Once you’re a member, you’ll get access to GymStudio, a scheduling app powered by TeamBuildr. Every session starts on the hour, and you just need to book at least three hours in advance. This ensures the gym stays organized and every athlete receives the coaching attention they need.

  • How long are training sessions?

Both big group and independent group sessions are 60 minutes long from start to finish, including warm up, mobility, athletic movements, and strength blocks.

  • What happens if I miss my regular training session time?

No problem. Sessions included in your membership can be used anytime within the membership’s four-week active period. If you reserve a spot and do not show up, that session will be deducted, as it prevents another athlete from taking the spot. You can cancel your reservation anytime at least two hours before the session without losing it. Unused sessions do not roll over to the next cycle.

  • How do I pause or cancel a membership?

    Pauses / Freezes

Memberships can be paused at any time for up to 60 days. During the pause, all reserved sessions will be preserved for later use. After the 60 days, your cycle will automatically unfreeze, allowing you to use any remaining sessions until the end of your current cycle, at which point membership billing will renew.

    Cancellations

Full membership cancellations require at least 14 days’ notice. Requests made within the last 14 days of a current cycle will be processed after the following cycle.

    How to Notify Us

All pause or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing or in person to ensure they are processed properly.
